About this crossing
State Route 104 carries traffic to this crossing on both shores. From I-5 exit 177 it is four miles west to the Edmonds terminal, and beyond Kingston the highway continues through Port Gamble to the Hood Canal Floating Bridge and US 101, which is the way WSF's directions bring drivers from Port Angeles and the Olympic Peninsula. Walk-on passengers pay for both directions at Edmonds. Boarding there is by an overhead ramp in two stages of roughly 200 feet each on a gradual climb, which WSF warns can be steep for passengers with disabilities; staff can help if you arrive at least 20 minutes before the sailing. Our accessible ferry travel guide has more on asking for help.
