What this site is, and what it is not

Not an operator, not a booking site

Ferry Services sells nothing. We are not affiliated with any shipping line, we take no commission, and no line pays to appear or to rank higher. Every booking link goes to the operator's own site, where your contract is with them alone.

The times and fares

Everything here is taken from the operators' own published timetables, schedule pages and booking systems, and each page says where its figures came from and when they were read. Sailings still change: weather, tides, mechanical trouble and seasonal timetables move them at short notice, and a fare can change the day after we read it. Where a line publishes nothing we can check, the page says that too rather than guessing.

Confirm with the operator before you travel, especially for the first or last boat of the day, a vehicle booking or a connection you cannot miss. Where this site and the operator disagree, the operator is right.

What we are responsible for

We correct mistakes as soon as we know about them, and we would rather hear about one than not. What we cannot do is carry the cost of a sailing you missed, a booking you made on a figure that had changed, or a service that was cancelled: the site is offered as information, without warranty, and using it is your decision.

Reusing what is here

The words on these pages, and the way the data is assembled, are ours. Quote a sentence or two with a link if it is useful. Do not copy pages wholesale or scrape the site to rebuild it elsewhere. Operator names, marks and logos belong to those companies and are used here to identify their services.
