About this crossing

The two weekly ships take very different routes south. Sunday's 21:30 calls at Dumaguete and Dipolog and docks in Zamboanga City at 22:00 on Tuesday, after two nights aboard, while Wednesday's 11:00 goes round by Davao and General Santos and does not arrive until Sunday afternoon.

Anyone heading on to Basilan from the Tuesday arrival should expect a night in Zamboanga, since FastCat's last daily crossing of the Basilan Strait to Isabela has long gone; the Sunday arrival leaves time to make it. Zamboanga lies at the south-western tip of the Zamboanga Peninsula. Of the two return sailings, Wednesday's leaves before dawn.
