Santa Fe

Santa Fe is Bantayan Island's ferry port, linked to Medellin on Cebu by five sailings between 01:30 and 20:30, a 55-minute crossing. The town has become the island's tourist centre — the beaches on this side are the reason most visitors come — but the ferry remains a working link carrying fish, eggs and building materials as well as passengers. During Holy Week the island fills to capacity and the ferries run continuously; at that time booking ahead stops being optional. Bantayan's flat terrain makes it small enough to cross by motorcycle in under an hour, and most arrivals hire one at the pier.
