About this crossing

Nobody sells tickets at Snug Cove, since the fare paid at Horseshoe Bay already covers this leg. The car lineup forms on the village streets, and a 2019 Bowen Island Municipality bylaw sets the rules: join behind the last vehicle or fill the first gap nearer the ferry, stay within about 0.6 metres of the car ahead, keep off the cross-hatched areas that leave side streets and shop entrances clear, and do not wait past the “End of Ferry Line Up” sign. Motorcycles go straight to the front and are loaded first. Cyclists board with the foot passengers and walk their bikes over the ramp. Check-in ends just two minutes before the ferry leaves, and the terminal has no parking.
