South-west first, then north: after leaving Dipolog at 11:00 on Tuesday, MV St. Michael the Archangel sails down the peninsula to Zamboanga, arriving at 22:00, and waits there until 04:00 on Wednesday before heading for Manila. That makes the trip 14 hours longer than the southbound voyage from Manila, which calls only at Dumaguete on the way. 2GO's booking engine names this stop ‘Dipolog via Dapitan’.
