About this crossing
Late on Tuesday night, at 23:30, the weekly 2GO ship from Manila ties up at Dapa, on the south coast of Siargao, the island off the north-eastern tip of Mindanao. The call lasts three hours. At 02:30 on Wednesday MV Saint Francis Xavier sails on to Nasipit and Ozamiz, then back to Manila, where it is due on Friday morning.
That 02:30 departure is also the only sailing back to Manila, and it takes the long way round through northern Mindanao (Siargao to Manila), so anyone returning by 2GO stays at least a week. For other connections, Evaristo and Sons runs four crossings a day to Surigao on the mainland.
