About this crossing

County seat and sole incorporated town of the islands, Friday Harbor begins at the water's edge: the ferry terminal is on Front Street, so foot passengers walk off the boat straight into town. Drivers will find no car park at the terminal, just limited short-stay parking on the street. WSF once carried on from here to Sidney on Vancouver Island, but that service was suspended in 2020 and WSF does not expect it back before spring 2030, which leaves the Coho from Port Angeles as the only car ferry between Washington and Vancouver Island.
