About this crossing
Balatero, Puerto Galera's port on the northern tip of Mindoro, is only 30 km from Batangas in a straight line, and this is the vehicle ferry across the Verde Island Passage to it: Montenegro's roll-on/roll-off ship makes one morning sailing a day and publishes no arrival time. Montenegro's own fares page also lists fast craft on this crossing, but they could not be confirmed and are not shown here.
Missing the morning boat need not cost a day. The Batangas to Calapan ferries leave at least every two hours, day and night, and Calapan is linked to Puerto Galera by the road along Mindoro's north coast. The same road is the way back to a timetabled crossing, as no sailing from Balatero to Batangas is in these timetables yet.
