About this crossing
Montenegro publishes no arrival times for this crossing, so the timetable shows departures only: three in daylight, at 07:30, 11:30 and 16:00, and two in the dark, at 23:30 and 03:00. The longest gap, seven and a half hours, follows the 16:00. Abra de Ilog is the landing for Occidental Mindoro, on the north-west side of the island, which the far busier Batangas to Calapan service does not reach directly.
With a single operator there is no second company to fall back on here if a sailing is cancelled; the only other option is to cross to Calapan and continue by land. Montenegro's northbound sailings keep a similar clock.
