About this crossing

A single ship, MV Lapulapu Ferry 1, works Lapulapu Shipping's link between Baybay and Cebu City, so the evenings alternate: out from Baybay one night, back from Cebu the next (Cebu to Baybay), and nothing either way on Saturday. The line's own website sheet, dated November 2025, still shows a nightly service from Sunday to Friday, but Barkota, the booking channel Lapulapu names, sells only the alternate days and opens a week ahead. The crossing leaves Leyte's west coast, runs over the Camotes Sea and reaches Cebu in the small hours. Roble's nightly boat from Hilongos, further south, and the many sailings from Ormoc are the alternatives.
