About this crossing
Both ends of this passage are on Panay. Caticlan is at the island's north-western tip in Aklan, and Roxas City, the capital of Capiz, lies further east along the same north coast, so the five hours aboard make a coastal run and not an island crossing. The ship is 2GO's Batangas boat, which reaches Caticlan from Luzon in the morning, turns round at Roxas City and calls at Caticlan again that night on its way back north. The return from Roxas City leaves at 16:00 on the same four days, so a same-day round trip is possible. It is easily confused with the crossing to Roxas on Mindoro, a different town in a different province: that one is Caticlan to Roxas (Oriental Mindoro).
