By sea, the southern end of Mindanao separates these two cities, General Santos on Sarangani Bay and Davao City on the Davao Gulf. The weekly 2GO ship that calls at General Santos heads west from here, to Zamboanga and Iloilo (General Santos to Iloilo). The only timetabled sailing between the two cities runs the other way, on Saturdays (Davao City to General Santos).
