Early arrivals at Shingle Spit on weekday mornings can collect a priority loading pass. BC Ferries hands a limited number to the first vehicles queued for one early sailing to Gravelly Bay, and the pass moves them up the line for the connecting departure of the cable ferry at Denman West, Monday to Friday; the Shingle Spit terminal page gives the sailings concerned. Shingle Spit itself has no parking, and the only public transport serving it is the Hornby Island Bus.
