About this crossing
This crossing starts at Santander's port of Lilo-an, on the southern tip of Cebu, not at Liloan in Southern Leyte or the Pier 88 wharf at Liloan, north of Cebu City. From here the Tañon Strait is narrow enough for a half-hour hop to Sibulan in Negros Oriental, a short ride north of Dumaguete. Maayo Shipping sends a boat every three hours from 06:00 to 18:00, adds one at 04:30 and three in the evening, at 19:30, 21:00 and 22:30, and its boats leave Sibulan at the same times, so the two ends mirror each other. The barges take cars, trucks and motorcycles as well as people on foot. Fares for foot passengers are listed from ₱90 to ₱130 depending on class. The Negros side has its own page, Sibulan to Liloan.
