Starhorse Shipping Lines suspended this crossing on 11 September 2026 and has not announced a restart. When it runs, Starhorse Shipping Lines sails from Lucena to Masbate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, leaving at 13:00. The crossing takes about 17 hours, and a ticket is ₱1,200.

While Starhorse's ship is out of service, the sea crossing to Masbate City from Luzon starts much further south-east, at Pilar in Sorsogon near the southern end of Luzon, where Montenegro Shipping Lines sails every day (Pilar to Masbate). Lucena and Masbate City are 285 km apart in a straight line, which makes this the longest of Lucena's routes. From Masbate City, Cokaliong also sails once a week to Cebu (Masbate to Cebu).
