About this crossing

Cars for this route queue along SE Sedgwick Road and reach the Southworth tollbooth first come, first served; once the line backs up to the Southworth Drive junction, every vehicle has to join it on Sedgwick. Drivers pay one way here; foot passengers do not pay at all, as Fauntleroy collects their fare for the round trip. Southworth is also served by Kitsap Transit, both by bus and by a passenger-only fast ferry that runs straight to central Seattle in about 26 minutes, a useful alternative for walk-on passengers going to the city centre instead of West Seattle.
