About this crossing

Ten minutes and 1.5 nautical miles make this the shortest leg of the Fauntleroy, Vashon and Southworth triangle, and the one tying Vashon to the Kitsap Peninsula. The island's fare is collected on this side. Vehicle tickets here are sold as round trips and passengers pay here too, so the ride back from Vashon costs nothing further. That is why Vashon-bound cyclists must stop at the Southworth tollbooth while those heading for Fauntleroy ride straight past. Parking is in the U-Park car park beside the terminal, which has around 215 spaces with 24-hour and monthly rates.
