The Philippine Ports Authority lists Liloan as a spoke of the Lipata RoRo hub at Surigao City, on the Eastern Nautical Highway that joins Mindanao to the Visayas and Luzon by road and ferry; the two ports face each other across the Surigao Strait. For Southern Leyte, Lite Ferries sails twice a day to Cabalian, and FastCat and OceanJet both run daily to Maasin.
