About the terminal
Lite Ferries' twice-daily boat to Cabalian leaves from here, according to the operator's own schedule, although these listings file that crossing under Surigao, 6 km away. No route from Lipata itself has a timetable at present, since FastCat no longer sails to Liloan. The Philippine Ports Authority places the terminal north-west of the city and treats it as the Eastern Nautical Highway's roll-on/roll-off hub for Southern Leyte, with Liloan and San Ricardo as its spoke ports. Boats to Siargao, Maasin and Cebu leave from the city port.
