About this crossing
Panaon Island, at the southern end of Leyte, is where this crossing begins, with Liloan facing Mindanao across the Surigao Strait, but no line has a timetable for it at present: FastCat no longer shows Liloan on its schedules and runs its Surigao service from Maasin only. Two other Southern Leyte ports have daily sailings to Surigao. Lite Ferries crosses twice a day from Cabalian to the same Lipata terminal, and from Maasin on the west coast FastCat's evening boat and OceanJet's late-morning fast craft both make the trip (Maasin to Surigao).
