Three nights a week an overnight ship links Tagbilaran with Plaridel, on the Misamis Occidental coast of northern Mindanao. Lite Ferries leaves Tagbilaran at 20:00, calls at Larena on Siquijor along the way, and arrives at 06:00.

Dapitan and Dipolog lie 34 and 40 km from Plaridel, so this sailing also reaches that corner of Mindanao from Bohol without a change of boat, rather than by way of Dumaguete and its Dapitan boats. Northbound, the ship leaves Plaridel at midday and gets to Bohol late in the evening: Plaridel to Tagbilaran.
