About the terminal
Sailings from Abra de Ilog all go one way, across the Verde Island Passage to Batangas, 43 km off. The town is on the north coast of Occidental Mindoro, the island's western province, and its pier at Wawa gives that side of Mindoro a direct ship to Luzon. Montenegro Shipping Lines is the only company, with departures spread through the day and night. Calapan, 46 km to the east in Oriental Mindoro, is the alternative for anyone wanting another operator or more frequent boats, since several companies sail from there to Batangas. The two ports sit on opposite sides of Mindoro's northern end, so the right one depends on which half of the island you are heading for.
