About Montenegro Shipping Lines

Mindoro was Montenegro's first destination, and the Batangas crossing to Calapan is still where the line runs most often: 12 departures a day from Batangas, one every two hours around the clock, and 10 from Calapan, more than any other operator on Batangas to Calapan. From Batangas it also sails five times a day to Abra de Ilog on the north coast of Occidental Mindoro, with six a day coming back, and once a day each to Puerto Galera and Odiongan. Montenegro publishes no times for its boats back from Odiongan or from Romblon to Batangas, so check with the line for those; it no longer sails from Batangas to Romblon.

Further afield the network ties islands to southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao: Masbate to Pilar in Sorsogon, six times a day each way; Dumaguete to Siquijor, four times a day each way; and Dumaguete to Dapitan, twice a day from Dumaguete and once from Dapitan. M/V Maria Isabel makes one round voyage a week between Iloilo and Puerto Princesa by way of Cuyo, on days and at times Montenegro posts each week on its Facebook page. For Caticlan to Roxas in Oriental Mindoro the line publishes no current timetable, so check with it.

The fleet mixes RoRo ships with fast craft, and both types work the Masbate–Pilar crossing. On Lucena to Balanacan, Marinduque, Montenegro's times come from an older listing that could not be confirmed; Starhorse shares the run with six departures a day from Lucena.
