About the terminal

Lipata, the RoRo terminal north-west of the city centre, is listed separately as Lipata (Surigao City). It is a hub of the Eastern Nautical Highway in the Philippine Ports Authority's network, with spoke terminals across the Surigao Strait in Southern Leyte, Liloan among them. Lite Ferries' schedule gives Lipata, not the city port, as the terminal for its Cabalian crossing, so check which terminal a ticket names before setting off. Surigao City stands at the north-eastern tip of mainland Mindanao, and besides the Leyte crossings it has the boats to Siargao and Cokaliong's overnight ship to Cebu.
