About this crossing

Of the Bohol ports with a direct service from Cebu City, Getafe, at the north-western tip of the island, is the nearest, and OceanJet's fast craft covers the distance in about an hour and a quarter. The tourist fare of ₱500 is well below what the same company charges for the longer run to Tagbilaran.

That makes Getafe the quick way onto the island for travellers heading to its northern half. Talibon, 21 km further east along the north coast, and Ubay beyond it also have direct Cebu services, but Cokaliong's ships to both take three and a half hours or more and leave Cebu in the evening (Cebu to Talibon).
