About this crossing
SuperCat and OceanJet run their fast craft in pairs, half an hour apart: 09:00 and 09:30, 12:30 and 13:00, and from 18 September 16:00 and 16:30, when SuperCat's afternoon boat starts. Miss one and the next is thirty minutes away; miss both and the wait is about three hours. OceanJet's 06:00 has the early morning to itself.
Lite Ferries' 11:00 is the slow alternative, seven hours on the water against three for the fast craft. After the last fast craft, Roble Shipping's 22:00 is all that remains. The route crosses the Camotes Sea to Ormoc Bay on the west coast of Leyte, and Palompon, further up the same coast, has sailings of its own.
