Four hundred and eighty-six kilometres of open water separate the two cities, and neither direction carries a schedule: the northbound leg is as empty as this one. General Santos is worked entirely by 2GO Travel on this site, on long hauls to Manila, Iloilo and Zamboanga. From Cebu the Mindanao services that do carry times run to Cagayan de Oro, about eight hours, and to Surigao, both of which land well north of Sarangani Bay.
