Calbayog is on the west coast of Samar. By sea from Masbate, the timetabled way there runs through Cebu: Cokaliong's Sunday ship from Masbate reaches Cebu on Monday morning, in time for the company's Monday evening sailing to Calbayog (Cebu to Calbayog). Lite Ferries also sails nightly to Calbayog from Maya, at the northern tip of Cebu island.
